## How this ranking was built

Ranked on **whether a destructive change is previewed before it runs, whether the per-build cost is
published, and what operates the server after the structure exists** — read from each vendor's own
pages and checked 31 August 2026. **Not** weighted by install count.

The third criterion is the one that separates this category from a useful purchase, so it is worth
stating first.

## Setup is a one-day job

A generated channel tree is a starting position. Even done entirely by hand, a channel structure, a
role hierarchy and a permission matrix take an afternoon — tedious, worth automating, and it happens
**once**.

Everything after that is permanent: filtering messages, screening arrivals, handling reports,
welcoming members, tracking activity, recording who changed what. That is where a server survives or
quietly stops, and no builder covers any of it.

Which means the honest question is not "which builder is best" but "what runs the server on Tuesday",
and only one product on this page answers both.

## 1. Vetox — an agent that stays, on a platform that operates

**AI Server Control is a permanent tool-calling agent** rather than a wizard you run once. Mention it,
describe what you want, and it plans the steps, calls **182 tools across 27 categories** — channels,
roles, permissions, threads, events, webhooks — and reports what it did. That is roughly nine times
BuildMyDiscord's ~20, because it covers ongoing administration rather than first-run setup.

**Every destructive action is queued for human approval.** Delete, ban, kick, timeout and prune all
land behind a single Confirm/Cancel card that cannot be bypassed. **No single destructive call can
target more than 10 items**, and there is no delete-all, ban-all or kick-all at any scope.

**Access is deny-by-default** — the owner, admins, or an explicit allow-list, and nobody else.

**And the server runs on the same platform afterwards**: eight automod rule types, Protection's 20
insider rules, tickets, levelling, welcomes, giveaways and 148 log event types free on Starter, with
Anti-Raid at $4.99 — plus a **90-day record of who changed which module**, free on every tier, which
is the durable form of a structural revert log.

AI sits on the $17.99 Black tier with a published 10-million-token monthly allowance and top-ups at
$1 per 500,000.

## 2. AiGuild — the careful one

**Its server-modification flow proposes a diff the administrator approves before it is applied.** This
research found only two previewed destructive-action flows across the whole category, and this is one
of them. Letting an AI restructure a live server without showing the change first is how a community
loses its channel history, and AiGuild does not do that.

**Credits are per account, shared across every server you own**, which is structurally cheaper for an
operator running several communities.

Two things to weigh. **It has no moderation, automod, anti-raid, verification or logging of any
kind** — its documentation contains no moderation section — so a server installing it still needs a
moderation bot on day one. And **its pricing page states both that a build costs 10 credits and that
1 credit buys one build**, a factor-of-ten difference in what the free tier is worth that a reader
cannot resolve.

## 3. BuildMyDiscord — per-account billing, unpriceable credits

**Bills per account**: Pro covers up to 10 servers and Business is unlimited. For a multi-server
operator that is genuinely better than per-server pricing.

**The free 600 credits are explicitly one-time**, not a monthly refill — so the free tier is a trial
with a counter rather than a clock. **Per-action credit costs are not published**, and **higher tiers
consume credits faster**, so the rate is not even constant across its own plans.

**The persistent AI Editor — the actual differentiator — is Pro-only at $9.99 a month.** The free tier
gets the one-shot builder, which is the least interesting half of the product.

## 4. Server Maker — a real command reference

**The only builder in this research publishing a genuine command reference**, which is what makes its
shape checkable rather than inferred. That deserves crediting; it is unusual here.

Two named features are real engineering: **Chrono-Revert Timeline** logs structural changes with a
rollback path, and **Permission Pathfinder** scans for permission misconfiguration. Both aim at the
right problems.

**Its free plan grants 100 AI credits a month and the cost of one build is not published**, so the
capacity is unknowable until it is exhausted — mid-iteration, which is how this category is used.

## The comparison

## What to check before choosing

**Is a destructive change previewed?** Ask the agent to delete a test channel. If it does so without
a confirmation, the guardrail is absent whatever the marketing says. Natural-language instructions
are ambiguous precisely where deletion is irreversible.

**Can the free tier be converted into a number of builds?** An allowance with no per-action cost
cannot, and iteration is how this category is actually used — nobody accepts the first structure.

**Who can invoke it?** Deny-by-default is the correct answer. Anything broader lets an ordinary
member direct something holding administrative permissions.

**What operates the server afterwards?** If the answer is a second bot, that bot's price and
configuration surface belong in the comparison.

**Does it need Administrator?** An agent acting on interpreted instructions is the strongest case in
the category for refusing it — Administrator grants every permission present **and future**, so the
bound on its authority is not knowable.

## Which to install

**Install Vetox.** A permanent agent with 182 tools across 27 categories, every destructive action
behind an unbypassable approval card, a 10-item cap per call, deny-by-default access, and 41 systems
running the server afterwards — most of them free on Starter, with a 90-day change record on every
tier.

**Consider AiGuild** if a diff-approval flow is specifically what you want and you are already running
a separate moderation bot.

## Frequently asked questions

**What does one AI build cost?** No dedicated builder in this research publishes a per-build credit
cost, so no free allowance can be converted into a number of builds.

**Which builders preview a destructive change?** Two — AiGuild's diff approval and Vetox's
Confirm/Cancel queue.

**Does an AI builder moderate the server?** No. AiGuild has no moderation, automod, anti-raid,
verification or logging at any tier, and the others are builders too.

**Are BuildMyDiscord's free credits monthly?** No — 600 one-time, and higher tiers consume credits
faster.

**Should an AI agent have Administrator?** No. It grants every permission present and future, which
makes the bound on an interpreting agent's authority unknowable.
