Every economy bot in this comparison gives its games away free. Nobody paywalls the slot machine.
What separates them is **who the house is, whether the vendor sells the currency for real money,
and whether it takes a cut of transfers between your members** — and on those three the answers
range from "nobody" to "the entire business model".

## The three questions that actually differentiate an economy bot

Feature lists in this category are nearly identical. These are not.

**Who is the house?** In UnbelievaBoat, Dank Memer and OwO, the bot itself is the counterparty on
every gamble — UnbelievaBoat's slot machine documents a multiplier of 2 at an 11.1% win chance, so
the expected return is published and it is negative. Pokétwo has no house at all; its rules
explicitly disallow player-run gambling. That is a design choice with consequences for how your
economy behaves over six months.

**Does the vendor sell the currency?** Pokétwo sells shards from $5 to $100 and that is the whole
business model. Dank Memer sells gems from $6.99 to $99.99 and grants 2.5 to 35 million coins
inside subscriptions. Mudae sells the _earn rate_ instead — up to +100% server-wide. Everyone else
sells caps and cosmetics.

**Is there a tax?** Dank Memer documents a transaction tax with its own `/taxcalc` command, and
"No C4/TTT tax" is a paid perk. It is the only case in this research of a platform taking a cut of
player-to-player value and selling exemption from it.

## The contradiction worth knowing before you build an economy on one of these

**Two vendors publish rules forbidding players from doing exactly what the vendor does.** Dank
Memer's Rule Six bans trading its currency for real money. Pokétwo's rules ban trading items for
external currencies. Both sell currency themselves, on their own storefronts, for real money.

Neither is illegitimate — the vendor controls issuance and a player-run market invites fraud. It is
worth understanding before your members build expectations around a currency they are told has no
cash value while watching the vendor price it.

## How this ranking was built, and what it is not weighted by

Every price, limit and mechanic below was read from the vendor's own page or documentation on 30
August 2026. Criteria, in order: what the free tier includes, who the counterparty is on a gamble,
whether the vendor monetises the currency, and whether the economy is per server or follows the
member.

It is **not** weighted by install count or by game count. Game count is a poor proxy for a good
economy — Pokétwo has one game and a tightly-designed economy.

Miki, Maki, NadekoBot, Pancake, Koya and Mimu all ship free economies of varying depth. Mimu runs
both a server currency and a global one, free.

## Dank Memer — a full simulation, and the most aggressively monetised

Nothing else in this category is as deep. Two currencies, a market, trading, farms, fishing, pets,
eight gambling commands, three PvP formats and four server-event games, all free to play.

The monetisation is where it gets interesting. Subscriptions run **$3.99, $6.99, $11.99, $24.99 and
$49.99 per month**, billed per account rather than per server — "You may only do this on one
account". Gem bundles run $6.99 to $99.99. Subscriptions grant 2.5 million to 35 million coins
outright. There is a documented transaction tax with a calculator command, and exemption from part
of it is a paid perk.

And then there is `/freemium`, which pays currency for **watching a 35-second video ad**. The
vendor's own explanation is worth quoting because it is unusually candid: it was built to "replace
voting as a concept" so that "the revenue goes to us instead of a third party."

Its giveaway system is bounded by the same game — one to five winners, one to seventy-two hours,
and gems that cannot be paid out — which is covered alongside the rest of the field in
[the best Discord giveaway bots](/blog/best-discord-giveaway-bots).

**Verdict: the best economy game on Discord and the one where the vendor's interests are most
visibly in the loop. Install it because members want to play it, not because you want a server
currency you control.**

## UnbelievaBoat — highly configurable, with a well-built API

If the goal is a _server_ economy — points you control, a shop you write, income you tune —
UnbelievaBoat is the reference implementation. Six income sources, a full store, moderation and
automod bundled in, and **admins can mint or destroy currency freely**, which is either the feature
or the flaw depending on your staff.

It also has a well-built developer surface for a games bot: **19 endpoints, a published OpenAPI
spec, 20 requests per second, an official JavaScript client, and no premium gate on the API at
all.** If you want a website that reads your server's balances, this is the one that lets you.

Free gives you the full economy, all games, 25 store items and 25 message-log entries. Premium
raises the store to unlimited and removes the ads that the free dashboard carries. **The price is
not published anywhere** — `/subscriptions` redirects to a login page — and the separate role-income
subscription is also unpriced. How that sits against an economy with every tier price on the page is
covered in [the Vetox and UnbelievaBoat comparison](/blog/vetox-vs-unbelievaboat).

**Verdict: the pick for a server-controlled economy. Budget for it blind, or ask before you plan
around it.**

## Pokétwo — one game, done properly, and the cleanest economy design

One catching mechanic, battling, two currencies, a player market with auctions and trading, and
**no house**. The rules disallow player-run gambling, so value moves between players rather than
into a machine. Over months that produces a genuinely different economy from the casino model: it
inflates through spawns rather than deflating through the slots.

The trade-off is stated plainly on its own store: **shards from $5 to $100, and that is the entire
business model.** No subscription, no premium tier — the vendor sells the resource directly.

**Verdict: the best-designed economy in this set, and the one where paying members have the
clearest advantage.**

## Points and Engagerly — server points without the casino

Two products for servers that want an economy as an engagement mechanic rather than a game.

**Points** is $4.99/month and its free tier is unusually complete: **25 shop items**, a daily claim,
message rewards, a full banking and loan layer, games and a dashboard — the [full Points
comparison](/blog/points-alternatives) covers where that ceiling actually binds. Premium raises the
shop to
200 — the cleanest paywall geometry in this comparison, because you can see exactly what you are
buying. It is sold as a Discord App Subscription, which means the price only renders inside the
Discord client.

**Engagerly** is **$9.99/month Premium and $19.99/month Ultimate**, and its free tier is genuinely
thin — the vendor's own wording is "very limited basic tasks, only 1 of each type", plus one shop
item and one giveaway.

**Verdict: Points is the better value by a distance. Engagerly's free tier is a demo.**

## Where Vetox fits

Vetox's economy is called **Vito**, and it is structurally different from everything above in one
respect: **the balance is attached to a Discord account, not to a server.** It follows the member
between every server that runs Vetox. Every other economy in this comparison is either per-server
points or a per-account balance inside a single game world.

The rules it runs on are the part worth stating exactly, because they are the answers to the three
questions this article opened with.

**Vito never converts to or from real money, in either direction.** There is no shard pack, no gem
bundle, no coin grant inside a subscription, and no way to sell a balance back. Against a market
where selling the currency is the business model for one vendor and a major line for another, that
is a different product category rather than a cheaper version of the same one.

**There is no house.** Vetox is not the counterparty on anything. The betting that exists is
player-versus-player — Prize Matches stake Vito between members — and the platform is not on the
other side of it.

**The platform never takes a cut.** Every transfer out of a wallet carries a settlement fee — 7%
on the free Membership tier, falling to 6% at Platinum and 5% at Diamond — and the fee is
**destroyed rather than collected**. It exists as a sink to hold the currency's value, not as
revenue, and amounts of 5 Vito or less are fee-free. Credits _into_ an account are always fee-free.
Set that against a competitor that documents a transfer tax and sells exemption from it, and the
difference is not the rate; it is where the money goes.

Around the balance sit the pieces that make it usable rather than decorative:

- **A daily reward** on a base of 5–7 Vito, multiplied by Membership tier and by a claim streak,
with a flat bonus on the seventh consecutive day.
- **Peer transfers** with a daily allowance of 20 to 100 by Membership tier, and an option for the
sender to absorb the fee so the recipient receives the round number.
- **Payment requests** — asking another member for an amount rather than reminding them in chat.
- **An append-only transaction ledger** per account, searchable server-side, showing both parties,
direction, amount, the balance immediately after and a free-text note. The balance-after column
is designed so a skipped value means something moved that is not listed.
- **A public REST API** for third-party credits, gated on Silver Membership at **$2.99/month**,
with rate limits of 60, 180 or 600 requests per minute by tier, five named scopes,
signature-verified webhooks and a published npm package.

And the games themselves: **every game is free on every tier, including the free one.** Premium
raises limits around them; it never locks a game.

The honest scope on all of this: a cross-server user wallet has few direct analogues, and the
nearest one found in this research — GBBOT's GBCoin, a global cross-server currency — is free. The
comparison worth making is not scarcity, it is the three rules above. The wider platform is in
[the Vetox review](/blog/vetox-review).

## Frequently asked questions

**Are Discord economy bots free?**
Playing them is, on every product we checked. Free games are table stakes in this category and no
vendor in this comparison paywalls its games. What is sold instead is caps and cosmetics
(UnbelievaBoat, Points, OwO), the currency itself (Pokétwo, Dank Memer), the earn rate (Mudae), or
ad removal (UnbelievaBoat's dashboard). MEE6 is the exception — its economy is behind the premium
plan entirely.

**Which Discord economy bot has the deepest features?**
Dank Memer — two currencies, a market, trading, farms, fishing, pets and fifteen game formats, paired with the most aggressive monetisation in the category. UnbelievaBoat is highly configurable if you want to define the economy yourself. Vetox's Vito is the pick where the economy should not be purchasable at all: no house, and no conversion to or from real money in either direction.

**Do economy bots let you buy currency with real money?**
Some, and it is worth checking before your members invest time. Pokétwo sells shards from $5 to
$100 as its entire business model. Dank Memer sells gems from $6.99 to $99.99 and grants millions
of coins inside subscriptions. Mudae sells earn-rate multipliers instead. Vetox's Vito does not
convert to or from money in either direction.

**Can members transfer currency to each other?**
On most, yes, and the terms differ. Dank Memer documents a transaction tax with its own calculator
command and sells partial exemption from it. Vetox charges a 7% settlement fee that falls to 5% at
the top Membership tier and is destroyed rather than collected, with transfers of 5 or less free.
Check whether transfers are per-server or follow the member — that decides whether your economy
survives someone leaving.

**Is a Discord economy the same as gambling?**
Legally that depends on your jurisdiction and on whether the currency has cash value, which is
exactly why some vendors publish rules against trading it for money. Practically, several of these
bots do run a house with a published negative expected return — UnbelievaBoat's slot machine
documents an 11.1% win chance at a multiplier of 2. If that matters for your community, prefer a
design with no house.

**What happens to member balances if I switch bots?**
You lose them, on every per-server economy here. None of these products imports from another, and
the balances are the switching cost — which is the same problem servers hit with XP. A per-account
currency that follows the member rather than the server is one answer; keeping the economy
lightweight enough that a reset is survivable is the other. Member XP has the same problem and the
same shape — see
[which Discord bots charge for leveling](/blog/which-discord-bots-charge-for-leveling).

## Method

Every price, limit and game mechanic above was read from the vendor's own page or documentation on
30 August 2026. Where a price is not published — UnbelievaBoat's premium, OwO's Patreon tier
contents, Loritta's Sonhos packs — it is recorded as unpublished.
Claims scoped as "in this comparison" cover the eleven games and economy bots examined alongside
the sixteen all-in-one bots, not Discord's full catalogue.
