Server management means running one server with one set of tools instead of six. Ranked on
**breadth of server systems and how much is free — not on install count** — Vetox is the most
complete all-in-one option we checked, at 41 server-side systems against Cakey Bot's 34 and single
digits to low twenties elsewhere.

That verdict comes with the criteria attached, and with the specialists worth pairing where a single need runs deep. Both are below.

## The criteria, stated before the ranking

Four things, weighted in this order:

1. **How many distinct server systems the bot covers.** Not commands — systems. A bot with 600
commands and no ticket system does not manage a server.
2. **How much of that is usable without paying**, and where the free tier stops being usable rather
   than merely smaller.
3. **Whether it is configured from a dashboard**, because a server with more than two staff cannot
be run from chat commands one person remembers.
4. **Whether the pieces know about each other** — one permission model, one log routing
   configuration, one member history.

**What this ranking is not weighted by**, stated plainly because it changes the answer:

- **Not install count or directory position.** MEE6 is far more installed than most of this list
and finishes near the bottom of it. Popularity is covered separately in
  [the most popular Discord bots](/blog/most-popular-discord-bots).
- **Not depth in any one system.** A specialist beats every bot here at its own job, and the
  concessions section names which ones.
- **Not price alone.** Pancake costs $2 and NadekoBot is free; neither has a dashboard.

## What actually separates the top of this field

**Cakey Bot is the closest competitor on completeness and nobody writes about it.** 34 modules, 368
commands across 100 roots, 17 interface languages with the _bot's own output_ localised rather than
just the website, all modules usable free with quota-shaped caps, **$4.99/month**, and — the thing
worth taking seriously — **a $99.99 lifetime price**. A one-time payment is the most direct answer to "will this deal still hold in a year", which is a real anxiety in a market where vendors
routinely enclose features that used to be free. Its Custom Bot covers **ten servers for
$9.99/month**.

**Pancake and NadekoBot are the cheapest real options and both have the same problem.** Pancake
gives away 148 of its 152 commands for $0 and charges $2/month for four — autoplay, bassboost,
volume and custom rank-card art. NadekoBot's public instance is free with no application at all,
618 commands, only about 35 music commands paid. Neither has a web dashboard; Pancake's `/dashboard`
returns a 404. Every setting is a chat command that one person remembers, which is fine for a
server of forty and untenable for a staff team of ten.

**Sapphire's model is the most honest in the category**: every feature is free and only numeric
limits are gated. 80+ log types, 12 automod modules, 7 Join Guard filters, AI moderation at 10
messages per server per minute, all at no cost. Its pricing card shows **$2.99/month ($35.88/year)
and €12 paid yearly (€1/month) on the same control**, and we could not resolve which applies —
read the checkout.

**YAGPDB has the highest configurability ceiling of anything here that is not AI.** 25 automod
rules, 100 custom commands with a real Go-template scripting language including conditionals, loops
and a per-member key-value store, a 1,000,000-operation compute budget, and Reddit, YouTube, Twitch
and RSS feeds — free. The cost is that you must be willing to program, and **it publishes no price
on its own site at all**; premium is sold through Patreon (from $5/month) and through Discord, and
slots bought on one route cannot be transferred to the other.

**MEE6 finishes last on these criteria and it is not close.** Its own 37-row feature table marks
the free column with a cross on 31 rows, including XP and Levels, Moderation, Welcome messages,
Custom commands, Reaction Roles and Giveaways. What a free MEE6 server gets is Search anything,
Achievements, Starboard and one timed message. List price is $11.99/month.

## Where Vetox is #1 on these criteria

**41 server-side feature systems**, configured from a dashboard covering 36 server route segments,
in **21 interface languages** at full key parity, plus 9 account-level systems and 15 account
dashboard pages. Seventy top-level slash commands across 89 invocable surfaces. That is the breadth
number, and the comparison that matters is **41 against Cakey Bot's 34**, with the rest of the
named field considerably lower.

Breadth is worthless if the free tier is a demo, so here is what Starter actually contains:

- **All 32 moderation commands**, all 8 auto-mod rule types with all 4 action types, and a warning
history capped at 100 per user and 1,000 warned users per server — **identical on every tier**,
so it never becomes a reason to upgrade.
- **20 protection rule types** with every punishment, undo, whitelist and per-role overrides.
- **148 log event types**, each with its own channel and colour. That is the largest event count of
the products we checked, ahead of Sapphire's 80+ and Zeppelin's 66.
- **Unlimited self-role panels** and **unlimited level-to-role rewards**, both ungated.
- **3 ticket panels at 200 concurrent tickets**, with claiming, and the whole application reviewer
surface — queue, filters, search, decisions, CSV export and the funnel analytics.
- **The entire giveaway system**, with no paid tier at all.
- **Suggestions entirely free**, with voting, review workflow, staff roles and thresholds.
- **The complete counting game, temp voice system and starboard behaviour set.**
- **Dashboard Watcher** — who changed which setting, 500 entries over 90 days, across all 41
systems. Of the sixteen moderation and security bots we checked, two record who changed their own
settings, and one of them cannot be installed.
- **Every game, free on every tier.**

Paid tiers are **$4.99/month Basic, $7.99 Max, $17.99 Black**, per server, with Custom Bot as an
add-on at $9.99 (Max+) and $19.99 (Black+). Basic carries the largest single jump: anti-raid, the
eight notification platforms, battle pass, sticky and delayed roles, embed welcome formats, log
executor attribution and 43 named gates. Max adds server backup and delegated dashboard access.
Black is essentially about AI.

The second-order argument is the one that survives scrutiny: **one permission model, one log
routing configuration, one member history across 41 systems.** An application accepted in one
system can inform a ticket in another because both live in the same product. That is not available
to a stack, at any price. The detail is in [the Vetox review](/blog/vetox-review) and
[what its moderation features do](/blog/vetox-moderation-stack).

## What a specialist stack costs instead

Every figure is a **list** price for one server, read from the vendor's own page on 30 August 2026.

| Need | Best-regarded specialist | Per month |
| ------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ----------- |
| Moderation and protection | [Wick](https://wickbot.com/premium) Premium | $5.00 |
| Leveling | [Arcane](https://arcane.bot/premium) Premium | $7.00 |
| Tickets | [Ticket Tool](https://tickettool.xyz/premium) Premium | $7.99 |
| Giveaways | Giveaway Boat Tier I | $3.00 |
| Notifications | [Streamcord](https://streamcord.io/pro/) Pro | $2.99 |
| Analytics | [Statbot](https://statbot.net/upgrade) full set | $14.95 |
| **Total** | | **$40.93** |
| **Per year** | | **$491.16** |

That stack has no backup, no temp voice, no applications, no reminders, no alt detection, no
events, no counting, no starboard, no sticky messages, no auto-responders and no suggestions.
Adding the obvious next six — [Xenon](https://wiki.xenon.bot/en/premium) at $5.99, VoiceMaster at
£3.99, Appy at £4.99, Zira at $2.00, [Reminder Bot](https://reminder-bot.com/) at $2.00 and Apollo
at $7.99 — brings it to **$57.91 plus £8.98 per month**. Two of the twelve bill in pounds, so there
is no single correct dollar figure, which is itself the finding. At any plausible rate it is north
of $65/month, roughly $780/year.

Vetox Black covers that feature set at **$215.88/year** with 35 systems left over.

**The caveat that has to travel with that arithmetic:** the specialist stack buys _depth_ in each
of the six. Ticket Tool at $7.99 exposes sixteen distinct per-panel configuration surfaces; Statbot
at $14.95 has member and channel drilldowns and heatmaps with nothing comparable anywhere else. The
honest claim is about cost and coordination, not about the specialists being worse at their one
job.

## The costs that are not on any invoice

Three specialist bots means three of everything, and the compounding is the part people
underestimate.

**Three permission models.** Ticket Tool has dashboard roles and permission levels; Application Bot
has its own dashboard access model with a documented "Server Not Showing On Dashboard" support
article; Suggestions Bot nominates Discord roles per guild by slash command. A new moderator is
granted access three times, in three idioms, and **revoked three times when they leave. Nobody
audits the third one.**

**Three billing relationships in three currencies on three rails.** Ticket Tool bills through its
own checkout in USD, Appy in GBP, Tickety in EUR, Tickets through Patreon, Modmail through Buy Me A
Coffee — and Countr, Lurkr, ActivityRank, Chip, GiselleBot, NadekoBot, Atlas, Carl-bot, GiveawayBot
and ServerStats also through Patreon.

**Three sets of retention semantics, most of them unpublished.** Ticket Tool stores no transcripts
at all — the HTML lives in Discord's CDN and deleting the message destroys the record permanently.
Helper.gg puts transcripts at a publicly accessible URL. Ticketer deletes them after 7 days on
free. Most of the rest publish nothing. A server with any privacy obligation cannot answer "how
long do you keep our members' conversations?" from public information.

**No shared identity.** An application accepted in one bot cannot open a ticket in another, cannot
be cross-referenced, and cannot inform a suggestion's weight.

## Where a specialist still wins, plainly

A ranking that concedes nothing is marketing. These are real and they are checked:

- **Reminder Bot** gives unlimited reminders free with a web dashboard, timezones and import and
export, and charges $2/month for exactly one thing: recurrence.
- **Ticket Tool** ships unlimited free ticket panels and sixteen per-panel configuration surfaces.
- **Tickety** has the only real application analytics found in its domain, and turns an application
into a ticket with one click.
- **Zeppelin** is a moderation engine built around depth — 34 automod triggers, 19 actions, 66 log
types, the finest permission model in the category — and hosted access is invite-only.
- **YAGPDB** out-configures everything for anyone willing to write templates.
- **Wick** pairs its anti-nuke with the only recovery attempt in the category.
- **Statbot** owns time-series analytics outright.
- **Xenon** bills **per Discord account across unlimited servers at $5.99**, which beats per-server
pricing for anyone running several communities.
- **VoiceMaster** has five temp-voice setup modes.
- **Cakey Bot** wins on music, and on a $99.99 lifetime price against every subscription here.
- **DISBOARD** owns server discovery outright, ranked 7th in Discord's own moderation category.

## Frequently asked questions

**What is the best all-in-one Discord bot?**
Ranked on how many server systems one bot covers and how much of it is free — not on install count
— Vetox, at 41 server-side systems with most of them usable on the free tier. Cakey Bot is the
closest on breadth at 34 modules and beats it on price certainty with a $99.99 lifetime option.
ProBot is the broadest of the well-known free names.

**How many Discord bots does a server actually need?**
Fewer than most servers run. The common shape is five or six — moderation, leveling, tickets,
giveaways, alerts, analytics — which is $40.93 a month at list prices and six separate permission
models. One multipurpose bot plus one or two genuine specialists is usually the better structure.

**Is it cheaper to use one bot or several?**
One, by a wide margin, if the one covers what you need. Six specialists at their best-regarded
options total $491.16 a year; twelve is north of $780. A single multipurpose bot's top tier runs
$50 to $215 a year depending on which one. The saving is real, and so is the depth you give up.

**Do I need a bot with a web dashboard?**
Once you have more than two staff, yes. Configuration held in chat commands is configuration held
in one person's memory, and it does not survive them leaving. Dashboard absence is more common than
you would expect among serious products — Amari, ActivityRank, Pancake, Xenon and Suggestions Bot
all have none, and VoiceMaster's is a paid feature.

**What should I check before switching server management bots?**
Three things. Whether member XP transfers — it usually does not, and it is the most common reason a
switch stalls. Whether the new bot's free tier covers what you use today, checked against numbers
rather than feature names. And whether your current bot's data can be exported at all, because most
cannot.

**Is a free Discord bot good enough for a large server?**
Frequently, and the constraint is rarely the one people expect. It is not raw capability, it is
limits — role reward caps, panel counts, log retention. Read the free tier as numbers rather than
ticks: MEE6's free tier is 3 rows of its own 37, while Sapphire's is every feature with only
numeric caps applied. Those are very different meanings of "free". The full breakdown is in
[the best free Discord bots](/blog/best-free-discord-bots).

## Method

System counts, gates and prices were read from each vendor's own page or documentation on 30 August 2026. Stack totals use list prices at the entry paid tier for one server and are shown as a mixed
total where currencies differ, never silently converted. Where two vendor surfaces disagree —
Sapphire's pricing card, SCNX's professional tier — both figures are shown.
Comparative claims are scoped to the sixteen all-in-one bots and the specialists named, not to
Discord's 10,121-app moderation category.
